I then saved for a few more months and then purchased a pair of B&W CDM NT1s which are much more to my liking for under 1000.00, but a few more dollars than the M80s thats for sure. I was not that impressed and returned them. The speakers may be positioned vertically or horizontally on any flat, stable surface. I tested the Cambridge SoundWorks M80s and found them very soft on the highs. Great care has been taken in order to combine audiophile-level details and reasonable cost.

I've been looking for more independent reviews and will continue to look at my favorite sites but everything I read is really good. thing was, they couldn't handle the power of new receivers but as I said, that was like 1990.
